The first night at Kelling gave just enough time to get setup and a rough polar align before the clouds rolled in. There were some amazingly dark gaps in the cloud and during one of the longer gaps I managed to align, calibrate and start guiding. Knowing that it was likely to be short lived I picked a bright target.
M13. The globular cluster in Hercules. Visible to the naked eye from dark sites, roughly 500,000 stars.
One 3 minute image. No calibration frames, just a quick stretch in PS! This image does have much more noise than it should have but that’s why you take more than one sub!
